Before you can dispense draft beer from of your Cornelius keg, you’ll need to attach it to your beer line that runs to the faucet. This high-quality ball lock quick disconnect is exactly what you need.

Whether you call it the Cornelius or Corny keg, you can’t deny that this size is the perfect keg for homebrewing. There are two styles – the main difference being how the coupler attaches to the keg. This quick disconnect is for the ball lock style, which sometimes goes by its original nickname as the Pepsi keg.

The body of the quick disconnect is plastic. The black color has a special purpose – it reminds you that this part is only to be used on the liquid side of your keg. For dispensing, you’ll also need a gas quick disconnect, which will be grey.

Using the ball lock system is as easy as it gets. To install your quick disconnect, simple pull up on the collar, place the part over the liquid port of your keg, then release. The internal spring will release and lock the disconnect in place.

Finally, you’ll need to attach your beer line that goes to the faucet. The integrated barb outlet fits 3/16 in. inside diameter draft hose. After sliding on the line, use a screw clamp to tighten around the hose.
