Authentically pour traditional Czech Pilsners with the Lukr Freedom Faucet.
This one-of-a-kind draft faucet is used just like the popular Lukr side pull faucets, but, instead of pulling the handle horizontally, you pull the tap handle down vertically to begin pouring. The vertical design also requires less space than the side pull faucet, which makes it ideal for bars and tap rooms with many faucets. This faucet style allows you to recreate the traditional methods for serving Czech pilsners with unique combinations of beer and foam.
It’s similar to operating a dimmer switch because the more you turn the lever, the “brighter” the beer in your glass gets. Opening the faucet handle just a little creates dense, wet foam, while completely opening the faucet provides a typical beer flow. A micro screen inside the faucet aerates the beer in a similar fashion to a nitro faucet.
This Lukr Freedom faucet is constructed from stainless steel and is designed to be inserted into the glass as you pour. An additional flow control knob on the side of the faucet allows for fine-tuning of your pour.
There are three styles for pouring and other Czech Pilsners. The Hladinka is the standard method that provides you with a mug half full of beer and half full of foam (or about three fingers worth), which gives you a balanced mix of the bitterness and sweetness in the beer. Šnyt is a smaller beer poured into a large glass consisting of two parts beer, three parts foam, and one part empty glass. This refreshing and less-filling pour gives you room to enjoy more beer or food during a session. Then there is Mlíko, a mug full of sweet and creamy wet foam that shows off the beer’s hops and aromatics. This is traditionally enjoyed as a dessert beer.
